M11S - Trophy Weapons

Now here comes the main theme of the first half of this fight, in which the boss summons three Trophy Weapons in order to assault your party with raw violence. This specific mechanic is repeated constantly for the first half of this fight, so make sure to study up on this if you're progging.

You will always face one weapon type each, up to three weapons in total, for every time the boss uses Trophy Weapons.

Trophy Weapon - Axe

The axe is the easiest weapon to deal with, but also the one where most melee players will die to due to greed. The boss will grab the axe and smack the area, resulting in a chariot AoE on the epicenter of the axe while also inflicting a party stack on one of the healers.

Stack as a party in the middle of the arena to resolve the axe. You can max melee the chariot if you're confident about your capabilities, but assume that people will get mad at you if you repeatedly embarrass yourself to the axe.

Trophy Weapon - Sword

The boss will fire a 十-shaped line AoE from where the sword dropped, which must be dodged, but will also fire two additional 4-man line AoE stacks at both healers, which needs to be soaked by light parties.

An easy way to tell how the line AoE will fire is to look at how the sword is dropped on the floor. The way its dropped will tell you from which direction the boss will dash towards the sword, which also allows you to preposition early for the incoming light party stacks.

For reference, MT light party is on the left, while the ST light party is on the right.

Trophy Weapon - Scythe

Creates a donut from where the scythe is placed, while simultaneously firing a protean against every player, forcing everyone to spread out inside the donut. Arguably the hardest weapon to deal with, because it forces players to move the most, which can result in very tight movements depending on what the previous weapon is.

As the spread is done boss relative, you can once again abuse how the weapon is placed on the ground to immediately determine from which direction the boss will be dashing from. This allows you to preposition early, or have the insight ahead of time to know where you should be standing for the spread.

Assault Evolved

Once the three weapons are in place, identify which weapon the Tyrant is looking at while he is casting Assault Evolved, which will be the first attack that you have to deal with. After that, the boss will always rotate clockwise for his next weapon.

Try to look ahead as to what the weapon order will be before it resolves. Some patterns, like the sword into scythe pattern, forces a lot of movements and can cause wipes if the player isn't fast enough in their reaction.

If possible, try to to help mitigate these attacks, because the amount of damage you take in a short time span will make it hard for the healers to keep up if nobody else is contributing to the mitigations.
