M11S - Orbital Omen

The first instance of Great Wall of Fire will happen now, so hopefully, the player who is going to invuln this has the main aggro at this moment.

Great Wall of Fire

The Great Wall of Fire is a double two-man tankbuster fired at the player with the highest aggro, inflicting a fire debuff on the first player it hits, meaning that this attack also functions as a wild charge. The attack fires twice in a line and each time it fires, it will leave behind a trail that needs to be avoided, even if you invuln the attack, as the trail will inflict a damage down if you get hit by its explosion.

This attack is meant to be soaked by both tanks, but the first one in the fight is always invulned by a non-PLD. The second one needs to be taken by both tanks, alternating their positions so that the fire property is properly shared between the tanks.

If no communication took place as to whether the tank is rotating clockwise or counterclockwise, then watch carefully how your cotank does the first one when he/she is invulning. That is your clue whether you need to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise with them on the 2nd hit.

Watch closely how your cotank moves......as this will become important for the 2nd one later

The Tyrant will change targets in between if the highest enmity player changes, so make sure that the other tank does not accidentally press provoke or overtake in aggro by accident.

Orbital Omen

After dealing with the tankbuster, the Tyrant will follow this up with Orbital Omen, which summons portals that shoots fireballs in a straight line. These portals are summoned at the northern and eastern side of the arena, one by one up to four, creating a 4x4 grid which the fireballs will traverse through.

You can safely ignore all the portals that appear at the edges of the arena, because the only important ones that are relevant to solving the mechanic are the ones that go through the boss, which limits the scope that you need to pay attention to a small 2x2 grid.

There are two patterns to watch out for, the easy pattern and the double dodge pattern. For the easy pattern, there is also a fast dodge and a delayed dodge, depending on whether its the first or second set that you're dodging into. Double dodges are always fast patterns, so you don't have to worry about that part.

Easy dodge, fast pattern
Easy dodge, slow pattern
Double dodge, example 1
Double dodge, example 2

For the fast dodge, try to dodge right as the castbar of Fire and Fury is between the r and y of fury. For the second or delayed dodge, you can eyeball it by moving right as you see the 2nd set of fireballs fly in front of you.

Whoever currently has the aggro should point the boss straight north, because the boss will also use Fire and Fury at the same time, which is a front and back conal cleave attack that happens right as the 1st set of fireballs will resolve. But otherwise, this mechanic is not so bad once you got the timing down.

This mechanic will reappear for the 2nd time later in this fight, so make sure that you're consistent enough in your dodges to not cause problems for your party on the long run.
